Project summary
The Fundación Acción Dibal is collaborating with ALBOAN and its local partner, Yomol A’tel, on a project aimed at supporting Tseltal indigenous families in the Chiapas Highlands region, one of the areas with the highest levels of social deprivation in Mexico. The initiative involves the construction of a community canteen and accommodation within the Yomol A’tel Comprehensive Centre (MIYA), creating key infrastructure to accommodate community members during their training sessions, collective decision-making meetings and productive activities.
The project aims to strengthen the social and solidarity economy model promoted by Yomol A’tel, reducing the barriers of exclusion and poverty affecting the indigenous population. By providing suitable spaces for accommodation and training, the initiative promotes economic, social and environmental sustainability, supporting the creation of community networks and fostering the development of local capacities.
